I’m pretty stoked about this shot! While exploring some of the lesser-traveled areas of Beavers Bend, Ashlee and I came across Thunderbird Falls. Although the falls were nothing more than a trickle, the beautiful green alcove and shallow, clear pool of water were enough to make the hike worth it. After photographing some of the more “obvious” and “gimme” shots, I started searching for an interesting foreground. I did find this interesting rock with a leaf on it. I did change the orientation of the leaf to help with the image’s flow. This is a four-image panorama captured with my 15mm lens. The ultra-wide field of view really helps emphasize the foreground. I literally just stitched this panorama and did a basic white balance adjustment to it, so this photo is only about 10% complete, but I’m liking what I have so far.
